We're a small-town church with a big ♥
Our church has been around for nearly 70 years, focused on ministering to our local and surrounding communities in the name of Jesus Christ! That's our focus and our priority - fulfilling the call that our church family has felt since the birth of our church: to live out the Great Commandment
and Great Commission
Jesus gave us.
An Uncommon Background
Even though we're nestled in the Pacific Northwest, our church is a Southern Baptist Church. Started by families who moved here from North Carolina and the surround area for the logging industry in the early 1950's, we are part of the Mount Baker Baptist Association...the Northwest Baptist Convention...and the Southern Baptist Convention. What that means is that - while we operate autonomously as a smaller, local church - we have a huge network of fellow churches as well as very supportive denominational resources both in our local area and around the world with whom we partner to share the message of Jesus Christ with the world around us!

Meet Our Pastor & His Family
John Batts has served as our pastor since September 12, 1999 - supported every day by his devoted wife, Kelly, and their only son, John. Our church has been the only place where Pastor John has served in a pastoral role. Prior to his time in Clear Lake, he served as a deacon, Sunday School teacher and volunteer Minister of Music with Oak Harbor Southern Baptist Church. During his time in Oak Harbor, he felt God calling him to surrender to pastoral ministry - and shortly thereafter, God called him to our church. Pastor John has ministered in a bivocational capacity since coming to our church - he holds a full-time job outside of his pastoral responsibilities, serving as a senior-level technical trainer for a laboratory equipment manufacturer.
